Our client is seeking an OPERATIONS OFFICER to work within their facilities located in RIO DE JANEIRO, RJ.

Job Objectives:

·         To support the Operations Group and Trade team in improving the operational efficiency in the ports;

·         Ensure equipment and consumables requirements are met, and correctly accounted for;

·         Co-ordinate vessel operations with the trade group;

·         Support the Operations Group with the maintenance, inspection and certification of all local equipment;

Required Skills:

·         High standard background education and some college education;

·         High level of competence in English language, written and verbal

·         Maritime education or basic training in shipping business or equivalent experience

·         Good understanding of all the cost elements of a voyage

·         Good understanding of the practicalities of cargo handling and stowage

·         Previous shipping experience – at sea or related shore position

·         Understanding of customer requirements & required performance levels
